Day 9
- Chilling in the Abalos region (Spain)

Made the most of the lovely weather and so went for a
drive, found the local Carrefour supermarket, stocked up
with scoff for tonight's meal and lunch and we're off.
Well, got back to the car and a darned big audi a8 had
parked behind us, touching the rear bumper seems ok,
but don't you just love the way that some people drive
there cars no respect for others and I just want to
get a tow car fitted to the back of our cars

So
off for a little drive if we couldn't do the pass in
Italy, then we'd try some local passes in Northern
Spain
|

Anne found a great one that was only an hour from the
supermarket, so off we went, up along more narrow roads,
higher and higher, colder and colder, to the point there
was snow on the trees by the side of the road and when
the wind, no gale blew, it went across the road. |

Found the camera point as indicated, but several other
cars there and so Anne spotted a little cart track
heading up higher (without further cars) and so up we
went so very worth while, no one else there we got
out briefly, looking down at the others at the camera
point and quickly got back in the car for a picnic. We
did wave to the walkers going past, well, sort of took
pity on them as it really was cold. But in the car, with
the heater going, lovely! |

Back to the hotel / winery, for a chill out and then a
quick dip in the indoor pool and steam room
|

After that, phoned room service for a couple of bottles
of the finest white plonk and we're happy.

Bob - starting to write the saga of our holiday pls read that as being VERY cold! Great, you park well away from other cars in the supermarket car park and some prat in an Audi A8 decides to parks right up next to you!
